A Culture of Caring: Amarillo College’s ‘No Excuses’ program for low-income students has made it a national model

Low-income and first-generation students often face barriers in pursuing higher education and are often one emergency away from dropping out of college. Amarillo College has taken the 'No Excuses' approach by developing, and continuing to assess and improve, the wraparound services and resources available to its students.
